Binnie’s been active in the industry since the 1970s. As a stylist and photographer’s rep — not to mention the wife of a successful creative director — she developed a love for agency life and respect for the work. Inspired to join a creative recruitment firm, her caring, earnest approach helped her find winning solutions for mainstays of Madison Avenue.
Capitalizing on this momentum, she launched Held & Lloyd in 1982. From a portfolio-strewn office on Lexington Ave to Held & Lloyd’s current home near Columbus Circle, Binnie’s genuine desire to help candidates find the optimum job has been our guiding principle.
With an MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts under his belt, Adam spent the early-80s as a playwright and sportswriter. But with mouths to feed, he took to placing friends in advertising jobs and found himself a career. Nearly 40 years later, Adam’s enthusiasm for media and communications, as well as finance and the arts, empowers his work plan.
He’ll challenge candidates as they pursue career goals and actively engage clients seeking a coherent hiring strategy. Infusing thought into every aspect of the search process, he helps everyone he works with attain success beyond their expectations.
